Almost There! by Sandra Marie Hall

Author Bio
The story on how this book came into existence is "Almost" as good as the
story itself! Sandy, as she likes to be called, came across a story
line that her late stepfather had written back in the 70's over 30 years
ago. Bob was in the movie theatre sound business and loved working
with and showing all of the movies at that time. You will see
references to that time frame in the book. There are some parts of
this book that are so funny you will pee your pants laughing! Bob
Passed Away in 1983, but he carries on with us here today with this book.
My Mom couldn't be happier!

Street Crime Unit, by Donald Burns

Donald Burns Biography
Donald Burns was raised in a rural, mainly blue collar area of New York
State. He began writing in elementary school in the form of poetry. In
Junior High School, he was exposed and inspired by titles such as “The
Outsiders”. After high school, he enlisted in the military which encompassed
daily hands on law enforcement exposure and world travel. Upon re-entering
civilian life, he received offers from high ranking law enforcement
officials and many security positions. Having worked in law enforcement for
a number of years, some of them pleasurable and others a street education in
the school of hard knocks. It was a trying time for him. Mr. Burns is now
semi-retired and living in the south. He has signed a stringent
non-disclosure agreement due to contracted future works (sequels and
discussions of motion pictures). This Book Can Be Purchased at Barnes
and Noble.com and Amazon.com and is being sold Internationally!
Synopsis
Street Crime Unit is a semi-dramatic
first novel by the author, Donald Burns. The law enforcement theme is
which many can relate to. Follow the main character through the trials and
tribulations of becoming an patrol officer on the beat and the strange
antics of criminals to the Elite Ranking
of a Street Crime Unit officer. The main character of the story clashes with a
highly self opinionated, and politically motivated Captain. With the
overwhelming sway of new policy, procedure, and politics in the Department,
sharp self-preservation skills and special measures had to be taken to
survive.
Street Crime Unit, though fiction,
reflects a cross section of Law Enforcement's crazy capers, crimes and
characters. It is set in rural upstate New York. It spotlights such
characters as the infamous Joey D. a crazy copper, the amazingly impetuous,
Field Training Officer Rizzo and the sly, self-serving female Officer
Giambrone. Follow Street Crime Unit's main character through his civilian
life, the military, law enforcement training and finally becoming one of the
elite, a Street Crime Unit Officer, and beyond...
"Avid Crime Story Readers... This book is your next
fix, over ten years in the making, you'll love the unrivaled action.
"Street Crime Unit" fuses the daily dramas of law enforcement as the main
character earns his way through the ranks of the military and the police
departments with twisted humor and a wealth of diverse characters. All
based on true life stories. An entertaining read for a Sunday afternoon!"
